Do you still have a lot of shopping to do for Christmas? I do, lots of it. In fact I have barely started. My husband is next on my shopping list. What to get him? He is hard to buy for. I know he needs some new jeans and I was thinking of buying him some “fancy pants” as he describes them. Some nice jeans, the ones that are a little more expensive. We will walk by a store and they are usually on the peninsula display.
Some other things I always buy him are summer sausage from a local meat market, they have the best so I get him a stick or two of it. I also pick up beef jerky for the stockings. On Christmas morning we sit around playing with toys and eating candy and beef jerky. It is fun to have traditions like that.
For my husband I am also going to buy him some smart wool socks. I know it is not an awesome idea but he really needs them so I thought I would buy him some nice warm ones because he works outside. I can buy a bunch so he always has some clean when he needs them. I will have to come up with something fun though I suppose too, maybe tickets to a comedy show.
If you live in Minnesota like I do, you wait through the cold weather all winter long to get back out in the beautiful sunshine of summer to do the things you love. This might include biking, golfing, boating, camping, swimming and so much more.
Boating is a pastime of my family and we try to get out together every Sunday for a little picnic on the boat, some water sports and a great day in the sun! This is very hard to do when there is snow on the ground, so you can imagine my anticipation for summer to arrive!
I found this collection of products for those that have a similar love for being on the water. I thought this “keep calm and boat on” sweatshirt would be a great way to keep warm when the temps drop in the early mornings and evenings out on the water. Isn’t it great?
My guy and I really like wine. We like to visit vineyards in the summer and hit up wine bars in the cooler weather. It’s fun to try, talk about and learn new things about.
I’m into white wines that are a little sweeter such as Riesling or Moscato and he is into the darker, richer wines like Chardonnay.
For Christmas, I’m taking him to a comedy club as a surprise and then out to a wine bar that we’ve been wanting to try for quite awhile. I think I’m going to have just as much fun with this as he is!
I am going to wrap a couple of gifts under the tree so that he has something to open on Christmas morning when we make our traditional Christmas day breakfast. I really like this wine aerator + decanter. Surprisingly, he doesn’t have one yet and I think this would be a great addition to his tasting tools.
I don’t know if it’s just me or if other people have this same problem, but I find it a lot harder to shop for baby boy clothes than I do baby girl clothes. They seem to so often have so many different options when it comes to girls clothing: jeans, sweatpants, leggings, tights, skirts, shirts, sweatshirts, and let’s not forget my favorite: tutus!
I found a website that has really cool baby boy clothes and was surprised and extremely excited. Naartjie is the name of the clothing brand and I’m really glad that I found it!
Today only and online, they are offering 40% off of all Essentials tops and bottoms. That’s a season-low offer and something that I’m going to take advantage of!
I decided to venture out and go shopping on Black Friday this year. I didn’t have to work yesterday, so I thought that I didn’t have a lot to lose going out later on Thanksgiving night because I could sleep on Friday!
I stopped into the Buckle, a store that I usually get my jeans from. I headed over to the guys’ side of the store and actually found some great jeans. My man has a lot of trouble finding jeans that he likes so I hope he likes these! They are the “Tyler fit” of the BKE Brand (which is exclusive to Buckle stores). I wrapped these and putt them under the tree. If he doesn’t like them, there is a 60 day return policy and he can exchange them for something different.
The big question… am I going to go out shopping again on Black Friday? The jury is still out on that one… it was pretty busy!!!
