Blu-ray Player

If you’re a movie fan and have an HDTV, it’s time to get a Blu-ray player. They’ve fallen in price and are pretty much an essential addition to your life. What’s different about Blu-ray? The discs have so much more room for content which means higher video and audio quality and more advanced special features. They also set you up for 3D and other potentially neat developments in HDTV. Granted, the discs are slightly more expensive than their DVD counterparts, but that’s why Netflix exists. In fact, some of the Blu-ray players out there will connect to Netflix and play their streaming library. Pretty awesome isn’t it? There’s a huge variety of players out there, so make sure you look for one that best matches your needs. However: I highly recommend getting one that has either ethernet or wifi built in because that way you can download firmware updates from the internet and view internet-based special features that may be on the disc.
