Hexlight

I like this show on Discovery Channel called Pitchmen. It’s about the world of direct response advertising and the products you see in those infomercials on TV. It features the stories behind the products and the inventors and the people that sell them. If you haven’t watched it, it’s a very good show. Well, they recently started season 2 and they featured two awesome looking products. The first one is HexLight. It’s an arm-mounted flashlight powered by 5 LEDs. What’s nice about it is that you don’t have to hold a flashlight any more, which frees up your hands while working on things in dark areas. The light is very bright and points exactly where you have your arm. On the episode, Anthony Sullivan (now the only Pitchman on the show, rest in peace Billy Mays) was changing out the salt in his water softener in his dark basement using the light and he just loved it. Everyone on the episode loved it as well, and it was a huge hit. With great reason, it’s a totally smart idea. I’ve seen lights that go on your head before, but those are not as good because they usually don’t have as much light as the HexLight.
