I am a Junior in college majoring in Accounting. I love being in college and love being around the exciting atmosphere and fun events that are held often but the homework seems to stack up quickly. One day while I was sitting in one of my accounting classes, the professor brought to our attention a book that is called Excel University: Volume 1. The professor also stated that it helps improve the productivity for accountants. Well, once he told us that, I knew I needed to look more into this book because Excel is utilized so much in the accounting profession. I did some research and thought that the book would be very beneficial for me because one day soon, I will be a professional working in the field of accounting. I also found out that there is an advanced excel training course that is taught by the author of the book. I find the content of the book fascinating and am excited to read more about Microsoft Excel.

It’s All About the Small Details
Dressing up for work day after day can get boring. I personally don’t enjoy wearing suits and dress shoes on a daily basis so I try to spice things up. Instead of the typical black dress socks I have been wearing fun printed socks, which have been a hit at the office.
It turns out these socks that make me the laughing stock of the office are actually trendy. Dress socks with flair are a big trend in menswear. Wear them with a pair of oxfords, dress pants or even jeans. Some men may think these are girly or goofy…only real men can pull these off! What’s better than a pair of polka dot socks?
Scanner for the iPad Tablet
My sister got this Scanner for the iPad Tablet for her husband and he just raves about it all the time. He showed me how it works and it looks pretty slick. I am almost debating on getting one.I have four kids and they are always drawing things, and I have so many pictures of them. Being able to put them on my iPad that I take every where would be so much easier then, carrying around the pictures to show friends, or even keeping them at home and worrying about them getting ruined.
It would also make it easier for me to send them to family members around the world through emails, rather then just telling them about what they are up to these days. Especially my husband too, because he is always traveling for work and he misses out on a lot of things, so I could scan and send pictures of our kids in sports or just hanging out for the day to him. I would also probably use it for keeping my recipes in place and not loosing any of those either.
Grass Charging Station
My boyfriend found this charging station online and he just had to get it.He makes fun of me for having plants in our apartment, and why not just leave them outside, cause they die anyway. He says now we have grass in the house that will never die. It’s funny to have in on the kitchen counter, and when your friends come over, your phone is just sitting in the “grass.” They always question, “Why is your phone in the plants?’
All you have to do, is plug one cable into the bottom of the base, and then just plug in all your electronic devices through the grass and It works pretty well actually. It beats having all of your phone cables lying around all them time and getting in the way. Less hassle and less mess. It’s really genius. Now instead of using the wrong charger, or tangling all your chargers up, you hide all of the cords, and you can do it in a sylish, funny way.
Passport Cover
This was a gift my kids got my husband, it’s a leather passport cover from Tiffany’s. He is constantly traveling the world and they thought “Dad needed a fancy ‘card holder’ so he can look cool.” They thought this was perfect for him, except they wanted it in the platinum color. They thought it would stand out more and be easier to find.
My kids are to funny and they really do think of everything. I can’t wait till they are older though to start buying their own presents for me and him. They can think of so many things that me and my husband ‘need’. I love them so much and when I told my husband the story on why they thought he need to upgrade is passport cover he couldn’t stop laughing. It is really nice and man I hope he’s worth it. haha
Awesome iPad Accessory
I just got this for my birthday last week and I love it. I haven’t seen anything like it so I had to go research a little and see what I can do with it. It’s called a Bluetooth® Keyboard Portfolio for iPad® Tablet. It was at an amazing price I thought and so far I just love it. I can just hook my iPad to it, and away I go doing my emails and just rolling around on the web. It’s so handy and convenient to use!
If you have an iPad I really recommend this. I am getting emails all the time from work, but it’s not like I can carry my computer everywhere. We are going to Hawaii next week for a little family vacation, and it is going to be so easy to keep up with work and to check every once in a while and not have to worry about getting so far behind.
iPad To Heaven
This is a great gift for anyone! I also heard they are coming out with a newer model to! I love my iPad 2 and I think I would be lost without it. It’s a16gb and I take it everywhere I go. I am always traveling and it’s a great toy to have while waiting for you plane, or even on the plane. I can read, play games, check my email, or do what ever I can think of on it. I love it and now my kids want one too. They are just like a mini computer and an oversized iPod.
I heard that they are coming out with the iPad 3 around March 16. Which means, that you can either wait for the new one to come out or buy the iPad 2, which I love and have no problems with. If you wait for the third generation to come out, the iPad 2 will probably drop in price too! Yes they are spendy, but I think they are worth it.
Retirement Party Ideas
This is such a great gift for anyone who is retiring. Any co-workers, friends, and family can sign the mat frame and then you can hang it up. This was at my boss’s party and I thought it was such a great idea. A nice picture of him and his wife was in the frame and It already had a bunch of signatures.
My dad is going to be retiring soon, and I am thinking about using this at his party. It’s a great memory keeper. You can remember the people that worked with you and just remember all the hardworking times. I think having a retirement party is a great idea for anyone. A last ‘hoorah’ before your next journey in life.
Great Gift For Business Dad
This was a gift for my husband received from our kids. When they saw it they thought it was really funny and that dad just had to have it at work. The hammer moves back and forth on a spring and he did get a kick out of the gift. He likes to have fun little things around his office and even at the house too. He’s a playful person and my kids just love him.
