Continuing on yesterday’s theme of grills, how about some tools for your grill? No, not grillz but a grill for cooking things. This is an essential for any man who likes cooking. Grills are extremely versatile and can cook just about anything. I like cooking burgers, wings, chicken, steaks and more on mine. Once you get a grill, there’s just so much you can do with it that it might become a full time job just experimenting with different ways of cooking things. I prefer coal grills because they provide a unique flavor propane ones just can’t match. However, I do see the advantages in propane grills since coal based ones can be a pain to maintain and start up. Do some research and decide which is best for you, but definitely get a grill. You’ll love it.
If you’re like me, you love Sharpies, but sometimes don’t like how they’re so instant. Well, Sharpie has solved that problem with their new liquid pencil! It uses liquid graphite so it writes like a pen, can be erased like a pencil, and will eventually dry like a permanent marker. Very cool, isn’t it? It isn’t available everywhere yet, but popular website Engadget got an early model and showed it off.
A bit early to be talking about this, but whatever, I’m doing it anyways. Smartwool socks are nice because they keep your feet very warm during the winter time. They’re different from traditional wool socks because they aren’t all fuzzy and thick, but rather smooth and pretty thin. They also don’t itch! Another big plus. I have a bunch of these socks that I use all the time when I go ice fishing, and it works so incredibly well. So, keep SmartWool in mind for your wintertime apparel.
The windshield wonder is a neat little product. It’s tool meant to clean the inside of your windshield. What’s nice about it is that it has a pivoting head and a fairly long handle which allows you to clean those hard to reach places. It works very well actually. There isn’t really a ton to say about it other than it’s very nice to have because of how easy it makes cleaning your windshield!
Need to fill something with air? Then get an air compressor! Well, air compressors aren’t necessarily JUST for filling things up, there’s a lot of uses for them. For example, you can get nailguns, inpact hammers, drills, sanders, and so many other tools that are powered by air. So, you might want to look into getting one because they are great timesavers.
Another nice thing I had up north this past weekend was a lawn chair with a built in table. It’s nice because I could have my chair set up around the bonfire with all my friends and the table could hold my plate of food, and the cupholder kept my beer from spilling. Everyone that had regular boring lawn chairs was jealous of my tabled superiority. The only way it could be better was if it had a robot to get me a new beer when my I finish one.
So, I was in northern Minnesota this past weekend. Being this is northern Minnesota, I spent a lot of time outside and in the woods, because that’s just what you do up there. However, I was quickly reminded the negative aspect of going up there…all the bug bites you get! They started itching like crazy the day after I got them. I brought along a tube of this After Bite stuff and put it on in an attempt to stop the itching. Lo and behold, it worked! It’s only temporary, but it’s still works very well. So, if you like being outdoors but hate being covered in bites and itching all the time afterwards, check this out. It will help.
Around where I live, we’ve had a real problem with earwigs this past summer. They aren’t harmful or anything, but they are rather annoying when you have a ton of them in the house. So, we tried some Ortho Home Defense, and were quite surprised by what the difference was. After spraying for them, it helped reduce their number by quite a bit.
